A few steps from Montañita Beach, Kamala Surf & Backpacker Hostel provides accommodations with an outdoor swimming pool, private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. Wonderful place to stay, 20 mins walk along the beach to Montanita, or $1.50 cab to town. Kamala is situated right on the beach, you can hear the waves in your hut. The rooms are simple, fan was in good condition and strong. The chef makes incredible food (especially the wraps). The staff are super friendly and welcoming and we even saw whales right outside the hostel!

Wonderful mostly outdoor cabin right on the ocean. I loved the outdoor shower and cooking in the outdoor kitchen. Totally private yet right next to Kamala where you can always find friendly people and delicious food and drinks. Internet was good. Pablo is a fantastic host, personable and always helpful with everything. I had a wonderful time here and would recommend it to any nature lover. Great vibe and people. Beautiful location.
